Smoke w a side of smoke & some smoke to go! Despite awareness of harmful second hand smoke this Waffle House in Missouri continues to exist in the Stoneage. Having ordered before the smoke hit us we were forced to inhale our food. I've eaten at Waffle Houses before & only the grits lived up to their reputation. The waffles were tough, the eggs cold & the service was slow. A sad disappointment. I'll stick with Cracker Barrel!

To start, it's a Waffle House. Smoky, waitresses with attitudes - but generally friendly, and a diverse clientele of travelers, truckers, homeless, locals and people looking for lots of coffee in a place where they can smoke. We always get a waffle and hash browns. I get mine with cheese, tomato and chili, and 1 over easy egg on the side to set on top. Normally this is one of the greatest meals you can ever have, but here the browns were not as good as normal. They weren't shaped in the standard circle, soft inside, crisp outside, they were flat and wide, so the soft center was missing. Still good, not as good as normal though. Waffle was pretty good too, again not as good as normal. Sweet tea was not that good. Waitresses were pleasant but had attitudes (does that make sense?) and the restaurant was fairly clean. Most of the time, WH gets a 5 star from me, even though I come out smelling like I've been chain smoking for 2 days straight. Not so much here, but still a good bet for a cheap and good breakfast.

Under staffed and over worked. That's the feeling I got as the waitress stared at me blankly as I was giving my order. This place seems like it could be doing better but the food actually tastes bad for a waffle house. I usually don't have high expectations for places like this as it's more fitting for an after hours "I just finished drinking and hitting the club" type of eatery but at least I expected some decent food. Nope, I should have visited the McDonalds across the street. The hash browns were under cooked, my eggs were under cooked, my toast was burned, and the only thing I wished they would have gotten right they ruined...my waffle. It was rubbery, cold, and tasted pretty disgusting. I think my trips to waffle house have just been ruined for ever. It was a good run but now I can only think of the crappy experience I had as I see a waffle house in the distance.

It's a Waffle House off the interstate, guys. You're not going to get anything fancy, so order up a mess of greasy breakfast chow at whatever hour of the day or night. It's actually consistently good road food, and servers are friendly and chatty. Smoking is finally banned in Missouri restaurants, so you won't have to suffer through that any longer.

This is a local breakfast place I hit on occasion. never had a bad meal and it is interesting to see what goes on in back of the counter- organized chaos! The servers can take a joke and have a good sense of humor. Food is good comfort food. Biscuits and gravy are decent, but I have very high standards.

It seemed like the flies were the only customers when I went, the food was good but not great and the servers seemed a bit rehearsed with there greetings but they were friendly so why complain!

So, on a business trip to the area, saw a, waffle house and freaked out because they don't have them in Jersey. The service, horrible....our waitress literally messed up every part of the order. The servers were arguing in the back about walking out. My co worker got her waffle in 5 minutes....my cheeseburger took 15 minutes. And it was messed up. Short...story, don't come here.
